Each month, our fashionista Lindsay Canright, armed with a camera and notepad, travels around the county in search of people wearing their interpretation of the coastal lifestyle.
Town: Galveston
Day job: Sales manager at Home & Sea, 2029 Strand, Galveston.
Where we spotted her: Running an errand for work on her yellow Schwinn Legacy Cruiser.
What inspired her look: “What I wear when I’m on a bike ride totally depends on the weather. Of course, in the summer I’m going to be in a bikini top and a flowy skirt. But, if it’s cold outside, I might throw on some harem pants and a light sweater.”
Her style is: “Extremely eclectic. I really just dress by my mood. If I’m in a good mood I wear lots of color and if I’m not, I’m in all black.”
Sound bite: “I usually don’t even match things, but today even my sunglasses match.”
Favorite stores: Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie on sale and local thrift stores.
What she’s wearing: Shirt by American Apparel, skirt from Urban Outfitters, boat shoes by Sperry Top-Sider and purse by Charles David — accessorized with an assortment of old favorites from her jewelry collection, including an antique diamond tennis bracelet and a faux ivory elephant necklace.
