PAWS Gala [Sept. 12]
The 15th annual PAWS Gala, benefiting the Galveston Island Humane Society, will honor Diana Barr, a longtime board member, past president and supporter for the humane society, as well as an active volunteer for more than 30 years. Frank Billingsley, chief meteorologist for KPRC TV/ Local 2, will be master of ceremonies for the evening with the theme “For Your Paws Only.” Guests will enjoy an open bar, a sumptuous seated dinner, and dancing to Password, one of Houston’s premier party bands.
