Q: Did you grow up in Texas City?
A: I grew up in West Texas City. My family has lived in Galveston County since I was an infant.
Q: What activities did you participate in during high school?
A: In school activities, I have participated in Key Club, Talent Club, Senior Steering, Student Council, Spanish Honor Society, Texas Dance Educators’ Association All-State Dancer, High Praise Dance Ministry, colonel of the Texas City Stingarettes and captain of the Texas City Fire Explorers.
Q: What made you join Fire Explorers and what did you like about that?
A: I joined Fire Explorers because I enjoy learning new things about how the heroes of the city work together to keep the community safe. I loved interacting with the firefighters, as well as skills days where they would teach us some of the things that are used on a day-to-day basis. Most of all, I loved working with my mom and my friends during community service.

A: My plans for the future are to attend Blinn college for two years and transfer to Stephen F. Austin to study secondary education and dance.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about living in Texas City?
A: What I like the most about Texas City is how everyone is so close and loving toward each other; it feels like a big family.
Q: What makes you proudest to be an American?
A: To be able to live the “American Dream” that so many people around the world don’t get the opportunity to.
Q: What’s your personal anthem?
A: “Party” by Beyoncé.
Q: How do you celebrate Fourth of July?
A: By staying home and having a huge cookout with fireworks.
