Friendswood Fourth of July Celebration [July 4]
The 122nd annual Friendswood Fourth of July celebration, with a theme of “Salute to America, Texas Style,” kicks off at 10 a.m. with a Grand Parade. With more than 100 entries, the parade will begin on Friendswood Drive (FM 518) at Heritage Drive and concludes at Stevenson Park. In the park after the parade, there will be rides, games, food and live entertainment until about 3:30 p.m. Evening festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park with music from Decades. A fireworks display, synchronized with patriotic music, will begin about 9:20 p.m.

Texas City Independence Day Celebration [July 4]
The city of Texas City will celebrate Independence Day with a parade starting at 10 a.m. Line-up is at 9 a.m. at the Sanders/Vincent Community Center, 501 Fourth Ave. N. The parade will turn right and travel north on Sixth Street, make a right on Ninth Avenue, travel east down Ninth Avenue, then turn left on Bay Street and end at the corner of Bay Street and 14th Avenue. Evening festivities include live entertainment at the Bay Street Amphitheater from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a fireworks display at dusk.

City of Galveston Independence Day Parade and Fireworks [July 4]
Galveston Island will celebrate its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles and performers. The parade will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with a procession on Seawall Boulevard at 59th Street and proceeding east to 25th Street. After the parade, the island will host a 20-minute fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 9:15 p.m. near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.
