The Galveston Association of Realtors held its annual Christmas party and installation banquet Dec. 7 at the San Luis Resort in Galveston. The banquet included live music, dancing, gourmet food and desserts, cocktails and a silent auction. Members of the 2018 board of directors are President Tanya Jones, President Elect Robert Zahn, Treasurer Mary Ellen Smith, Secretary David Bridgwater with Karee Campo, Edie Harrington and Jana Turner as directors. Linda Sivy is MLS chairman, and Ruthi Stayton is immediate past president. Claire Reiswerg, with Sand ‘N Sea Properties, was named Realtor of the Year while David Bowers, with The House Company, received the Joseph S. Schlankey Distinguished Service Award.
