Guests gathered at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on the Kemah Boardwalk on Feb. 15 for the Yachty Gras Judges Party. The event included the judging of the Mardi Gras boat parade, a complimentary bar and heavy hors d’ oeuvres. Yachty Gras, founded and led by Maurine Howard, is known as the largest Mardi Gras boat parade in America. Decorated watercraft, from dinghies to sailboats to elaborate yachts, sail along the Seabrook-Kemah channel, their passengers throwing beads to enthusiastic crowds. Photos by Carla Peoples
