The Bryan Museum held its annual fundraising gala, An Evening at The Bryan: A Night in Mexico, on March 26 at the museum, 1315 21st St. in Galveston. The event featured gourmet Mexican cuisine, silent and live auctions, a performance by Billy Gibbons, of ZZ Top, and the presentation of the Buck ’N Ball Award to Trinidad Mendenhall, philanthropist and co-founder of Fiesta Mart Inc. The award is given to distinguished and history-changing individuals with roots in Texas and/or the American West. Proceeds from the event support the education and outreach programs at the museum.
